Are you still looking for assistance knitting? I would love to help!
What a great idea.
The article from Sdcitybeat was just sent to me today. It makes me think of a bus aide friend of mine that lived in that area years ago.
They are beautiful.

Hello,
I love this idea and can see it growing in other communities in the county. My question - has the city traffic/streets division given permission to place these cute items on the signs? Stop signs are city property. I am presuming like when painting the utility boxes with artwork, permission first needs to be given due to liability issues (ie: a person goes through a stop sign and stated he/she didn't see it because of the knitted artwork on it).
If the traffic/streets division has been contacted, would you please share the contact info so others can also contact them?

I'm glad you like it. No permission has been sought or granted.
I think a key difference between it and painting the utility boxes is that it's free and easy to undo them. They are on city property, but don't really alter it.
People surprised and noticing them would be likely to stop, which is the intention of the sign to begin with.

I'm thinking of getting some friends together for a Stopsign Flower Easter Bunny Pub Crawl.
You must be dressed in a bunny costume to participate.
I will be towing a small wagon filled with beers behind my Rascal scooter. We will bunny hop to each flower on the map sipping delicious beer as we go.
Don't let THE MAN get you down
Do yo Thang. Art is where it finds you.
